There are some animal population maps available on line that depict the areas where each species has been known to hang out in the past. Go there during the suggested time periods. Finding the need zones they are using is the key. There are peak time frames when each species is prone to eat, drink or rest. Sitting in a blind all day is not a very productive way to hunt (as you've learned already). I focus getting the perks/skills that reduce gun wobble, control my breathing and reduce the noise I make as soon as I can. The gun wobble you are experiencing is somewhat predictable in its pattern of movement. There's a rifle range in Hirschfield and the ammo you use there is free.
243 is inadequate for most of the species there.
